Everyone is welcome to join COC, no affiliation with Cornell is required!

 

Established in 1928, the Cornell Outing Club (COC) is a community of outdoor-lovers who strive to provide opportunities for all members of the Cornell and Ithaca community to enjoy and benefit from the outdoors. With over 100 members and an active E-board at the helm, COC brings its aims to life by leading trips of all types and for all skill levels!

From adventures in the Adirondacks and Catskills to on-campus fun paddling on Beebe lake, our trips are open to anyone interested.

COC strives to achieve diversity in the outdoor activities it offers, whether its day trips canoeing in the Cayuga or an extended weekend doing winter sports with other college outing clubs. On top of the trips we organize ourselves, we also encourage our members to plan and lead their own excursions. With an abundance of outdoor gear available —from kayaks and backpacks to camping gear and crampons— we aim to increase accessibility to outdoor fun for each and every one of our members.

Eleven COC members joined @dartmouth.outing.club and several other collegiate outing clubs this weekend for skiing, ice climbing, and hiking. Pictured is our hike up 4800 ft tall Mt. Moosilauke.
Six COC members climbed Slide and Cornell Mountains in the Catskills on a winter hike today!
Some of our COC Eboard members braved the snow and ice to bushwhack up two of the Catskill high peaks today!
A HUGE thank you goes out to everyone who participated in #46climbs and who came out to #reelrock this year! With your help, we raised over $2,300 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention!
